How We Source

Dosano Global coordinates food sourcing through partner suppliers in East Africa for UAE business buyers. Farming, packing and processing take place at supplier operations. Sustainability claims need evidence specific to the supplier and product.
Our sourcing discussions focus on product origin, specifications, handling, documentation and practical delivery requirements. We do not publish measured environmental or social benefits without supporting evidence.

Supplier Checks

Before an order is agreed, confirm the proposed supplier, origin, product specification and any required certificates. Availability and supporting evidence vary by product and supplier.

Origin and Supplier Information

Ask for the country of origin and the supplier information relevant to the proposed shipment. Any farm-level practices should be supported by that supplier.

Animal-Welfare Requirements

For meat and poultry, discuss the processing facility, handling requirements and any animal-welfare evidence needed for your purchasing policy.

Supplier Certification

Organic, GLOBALG.A.P., Fairtrade or other certification must be checked for the specific supplier and product. Dosano Global does not claim these certifications as its own.
Environmental Impact

Handling and Delivery Planning

Handling and transport requirements should be agreed for the product and route. Key points to confirm include:

Temperature Requirements

Confirm the required temperature range and handling arrangements for the product. Agree how temperature records or other evidence will be provided where required.

Product and Packing Specifications

Agree grade, maturity, pack size and delivery timing to help avoid mismatched specifications and preventable rejection. This is an approach to planning, not a measured waste-reduction claim.

Transport Planning

Confirm the route, transit time and transport mode in the quotation. We do not claim a lower carbon footprint without a documented comparison.
Quality

Food Safety & Quality Assurance

Food is packed or processed by the relevant suppliers. Required facility approvals, food-safety certificates and shipment documents must be confirmed for the proposed order and destination.

Specifications and Evidence

Agree product specifications and any inspection or testing requirements before ordering. Certificates and test results must identify the relevant supplier, product or shipment.

Destination Requirements

Confirm the destination requirements and the documents to be supplied before an order is accepted. Requirements vary by product, origin and shipment.

Halal Documentation

For UAE meat and poultry orders, confirm halal certification and the relevant facility and shipment documents before agreeing the order.

Clear Commercial Requirements

Clear purchasing requirements help buyers and suppliers assess whether a proposed order is practical. We do not claim farmer-training, job-creation or community programmes without documented examples.

Buyer Requirements

Describe the product, grade and quantities needed so suppliers can assess the enquiry accurately.

Written Confirmation

Agree availability, packing, lead times and responsibilities in writing before confirming an order.

Commercial Terms

Price, payment terms and delivery terms are set out in the quotation and Proforma Invoice. No Fairtrade certification is implied.

Ask suppliers for evidence of any environmental practices required by your procurement policy. No owned processing facilities or renewable-energy programme is claimed.

Discuss packing that protects the product and meets destination requirements. Recyclability or biodegradability claims require evidence for the selected packaging.

Traceability Information

Agree the origin, lot or batch information and supporting documents required for the proposed shipment.
